Implementing Quality Assurance & Improvement Programs Across Various Healthcare Settings

OVERVIEW

This 1.5 credit asynchronous course introduces healthcare professionals to the practical implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) programs across healthcare settings. Learners will distinguish between maintaining safe standards of care (QA) and systematically improving processes (QI), while applying key methodologies such as root cause analysis (RCA) and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles. The course emphasizes identifying high-risk areas, implementing safeguards, and driving systems-level improvements through interprofessional collaboration.
